Brief History with Shane Turnbull

While filming for Habitat we tried to contact the paddlers who would help tell some of the history of whitewater rafting in the Pacific Northwest. Shane Turnbull is one of a few paddlers that I would consider 'lifers' of the sport. Paddlers who have been floating rivers for as long as they can remember... After sitting down with Mr. Turnbull, Owner of Chinook Expeditions, it became very clear that his knowledge of rivers and history of the area was tremendous. Here is a brief piece of his interview on some of the history of whitewater rafting here in the Pacific Northwest.

Habitat Film - Available Now!

For years NW paddlers have been looking through the Bennett book (a Guide to Whitewater Rivers of Washington) for ideas on where to go, what to check out next, and plans for the upcoming weekend.. In Habitat we took a step back and learned about how the book was written, what was going on back then in the whitewater world and some of the history we came up with might just surprise you... Check out the clip below and get your copy of Habitat and receive a free copy of 'Class V Chronicles' courtesy of Jeff Bennett while supplies last.

Habitat - Update

We have been keeping pretty quiet about most the work in Habitat thus far for good reason. We kept filming open right up until the bitter end in order to add as much to the story as possible. In the past few weeks we had the chance to sit down with Val Shaull, Jeff Bennett and Doc Loomis to add to the cast of the film. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date gets closer, but for now enjoy a little teaser clip from the film.
